The Bus Driver Safety VR experience immerses participants in the realistic setting of a city bus route, guiding them through various road hazards and teaching effective hazard avoidance techniques. This simulation is designed to enhance road awareness and reaction skills by placing learners in the driver's seat of a virtual bus. Equipped with real-time feedback and corrective advice from the virtual mentor E.L.I.O.T, trainees experience firsthand the critical decisions bus drivers must make to ensure passenger safety. The VR experience aims not only to teach safe driving practices but also to spark greater interest in bus driving as a profession.

Develop a deep understanding of the common hazards faced by bus drivers and learn effective techniques to anticipate and mitigate these risks.

Implement strategies to maintain focus amidst internal and external distractions, ensuring continuous attention to driving safety.

Participants will demonstrate their ability to apply what they've learned by navigating a bus route without guidance, making decisions in real-time in response to presented hazards.

Following the independent test, trainees will engage in a review session where they receive specific feedback on their performance, focusing on areas for improvement and reinforcing correct driving behaviors.

Learning Outcomes

The central focus of this course is to teach employees how to safety and correctly complete tasks when working at heights.

Trainees will learn to quickly recognize and accurately respond to common road hazards such as unpredictable cyclists, sudden stops, and obstacles obstructing the path. They will develop skills to assess and react to dynamic situations to prevent accidents.

Participants will gain a better understanding of how to manage the space around the bus effectively. This includes learning the correct distances for stopping at bus stops and maintaining safe following distances from other vehicles to avoid collisions.

Trainees will be taught strategies to maintain focus on the road, despite potential distractions inside or outside the bus. This includes handling interactions with passengers without compromising attention to driving.
