The Scenario

This module aims to provide a psychologically safe space where healthcare professionals can explore their own implicit biases and motivations before embarking on global health experiences.

Learning objectives

When visiting a Low or Middle Income Country (LMIC), implicit bias can have a lasting negative impact on patients, doctors and institutions. 

This module will help you to:

Identify personal implicit bias

Recognise the impact of bias on patient outcomes

Practise strategies to mitigate personal bias
